Developed by Alfanar Projects, the Lighthouse Green Fuels SAF project, located in Teesside, UK will convert 1.5m tonnes of sustainably-sourced biomass into 180m litres of advanced SAF each year. The project is the largest of its kind globally and the most advanced in the UK, with FEED completion expected in early 2026. The project is CCS-enabled and with connection can achieve over 200% lifecycle emissions reduction, delivering carbon-negative, domestically produced SAF that will power the next generation of low-carbon flight.
