Ben Clatworthy is the Whitehall Editor of The Times. He was previously transport correspondent and continues to cover policy affecting the industry, with a keen focus on aviation. Recently he has been covering airport expansion, airspace modernisation and future technologies, including flying taxis.

His reporting has taken him deep underground beneath the Chiltern Hills in an HS2 tunnel, high in the skies in an electric plane, and from Land’s End to John O’Groats in an EV.
