Africa Abajas has recently joined ICF International as Sustainable Aviation Manager. Before she worked in Vertis Environmental Finance, responsible for running and developing Vertis’ aviation business line, aviation strategy and product range. Prior to Vertis, she worked for the Spanish Civil Aviation Authority as policy advisor. She started her professional career in an airline association, serving as liaison between clients and policymakers and regulators. For the last 15 years her professional career has been focused on environmental policies and regulations that apply to aviation, such as Emission Trading System (EU ETS and UK ETS ), the ICAO Global Offsetting Scheme (CORSIA) and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).
