The Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK) is the industry association representing the majority of international network airlines operating to the UK.
We present a vital international perspective of the industry at a local UK level and are highly involved in any issues that collectively affect our members, including policy, regulation, airport capacity, border experience, sustainability, and taxation and charges.
The UK Government’s strategy for aviation, ‘Aviation 2050: The future of UK aviation’ presents new opportunities and challenges to our member airlines as we seek to create the optimal environment for airlines to successfully serve the UK market. A primary focus remains tackling any issues that add costs and complexity for airlines and passengers.
We are actively engaged and keep our members connected with a host of stakeholders, including senior government ministers, government departments, regulators and airport operators. Close cooperation is maintained with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other trade associations.
